The client is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic leadership across its financial processes, working closely with senior colleagues and the Treasurer. This is a hands-on role that will oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance function while also contributing to long-term direction as a member of the Senior Management Team. The role reports to the Executive Director.
Key responsibilities include managing finance operations such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, banking, month-end close, and cash flow forecasting. The Finance Director will identify and implement improvements to finance processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and will support the organisation’s strategic development in collaboration with senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a senior charity finance role and experience producing statutory accounts in accordance with Charities SORP. They will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or a part-qualified candidate with substantial relevant experience. The role also requires the ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently reconcile accounting records with other systems, with experience across multiple finance systems.
