The client is seeking a new Finance Director to lead and advance their local and international finance functions. The position is pivotal to fostering business growth, overseeing finance functions in Spain and Norway while cooperating closely with the clients commercial teams and the Groups finance department. The Finance Director will manage the local budget process, handle payroll, accounting, monthly reporting, cash management, and forecasting, acting as the primary liaison for external service providers and local auditors. Supported by finance assistants in Finland and Spain, the role also involves administrative responsibilities and overseeing finance, accounting, and IT systems.
The ideal candidate should have a Masters degree or equivalent in finance or accounting, with 5-10 years of experience in auditing, financial controlling, or similar roles. Experience in consulting or the industry is valued, and expertise in modern AI applications and tools is advantageous. The role demands strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with proficiency in IT systems and reporting tools like MS Excel and Power BI. Industry experience in IT or software is preferred. Fluency in English and Finnish is required, with the ability to work flexibly and occasionally travel within the Nordics.
