The client is seeking a Finance Director for a dynamic, international, project-driven environment. The role is broadly visible and provides exposure to international stakeholders, with close collaboration with international teams and senior leadership. It supports further growth and international expansion through solid financial steering, strategic partner involvement, and high-impact analysis to inform decision-making.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing the financial strategy aligned with business objectives, acting as a sparring partner to the executive team, and strengthening governance through compliance and internal controls. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; managing cash flow, working capital, and investments; and further professionalizing and standardizing financial processes.
The Finance Director will also provide finance leadership across the project portfolio, including revenue recognition, cost control, margin optimization, KPI setup and monitoring, and ongoing improvement of project controlling practices in an international context. Additional scope includes identifying and managing financial risks within projects, supporting acquisitions through financial due diligence and integration of new entities, and helping realize synergies post-acquisition. The candidate is expected to bring senior financial leadership experience in project-driven organizations, depth in long-running contract accounting and project controlling, strong strategic and analytical capabilities, hands-on leadership in a changing environment, and proven stakeholder management and leadership skills, including experience working in international or matrix organizations.
