Controller / Finance Manager for the client, supporting the Mexican office. The role objective is to consolidate and analyze finance, logistics, and operations data to produce recommendations and drive business improvements across multiple areas of the organization. The position suits a dynamic, ambitious finance professional with a business-driven mindset, strong analytical skills, and an international background, typically from consumer goods or luxury goods environments. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required, and accounting skills are expected.
Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing monthly and quarterly P&L forecasts, analyzing brand profitability and price structures by territory, clients, and product lines, and explaining balance sheet positions on a monthly basis. The manager will work closely with accounting teams, assist with budget preparation, consolidate regional sales forecasts, and produce reporting at monthly, quarterly, and yearly intervals with actionable analysis. The role also supports business analysis and projects for the Director of Finance, provides analytical information to the Commercial Department to help support negotiations and improve commercial terms, and performs ongoing control and optimization of expenditures at the national level.
Additional duties include monitoring return on investment to ensure resources are appropriately invested, ensuring compliance with group rules and procedures, and improving internal controls and related procedures within the office. The role includes reviewing general ledger entries for accuracy and preparing documentation to assist auditors for mid-year and year-end statements. Requirements include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or business administration, along with experience in a financial analyst, controller, or related role; experience with consumer or luxury goods and retail distribution is preferred. The role is based in Mexico, with openness to candidates currently outside Mexico, requires strong MS Office skills (especially Excel), knowledge of SAP, and strong presentation skills and business acumen.
