The client is seeking a senior Finance Business Partner for a large, international professional services organisation with operations across multiple sectors and geographies. Based in London, the role supports a global technology function and operates within a highly matrixed, contract-driven environment where regional teams retain ownership of performance and cost. A multi-year technology transformation programme is underway to standardise systems, improve cost efficiency, and strengthen global alignment, with Finance acting as a bridge between strategy and execution to influence investment decisions and drive commercial outcomes.
In this senior finance partnering position, you will work directly with senior technology leadership and executive-level stakeholders to shape technology investment decisions and improve performance across a complex international cost base. Responsibilities will include providing clear financial insight to influence decisions affecting cost, efficiency, and long-term value, with high visibility across senior stakeholders. The role will support major initiatives such as ERP implementation, vendor consolidation, and automation programmes, while balancing global priorities with regional realities.
To succeed, you will typically need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and have proven experience in a business partnering role within a large, complex organisation. You should have a track record of working with executive-level stakeholders and influencing decision-making, along with strong commercial acumen that links financial insight to business outcomes. The role also expects experience developing business cases, supporting strategic initiatives, presenting clearly to senior audiences, operating effectively in a matrix environment with competing priorities, and applying sound judgement when interpreting complex or incomplete data.
