The client seeks a Farm President to lead the successful operation of its Panama farm and deliver results aligned with corporate strategic objectives. This is a C-level general manager–type role requiring strong leadership, detailed execution oversight, and a proven track record managing profit and loss responsibilities. The position focuses on formulation of detailed plans to achieve expected outcomes, with extensive backup options to support reliable execution.
Key responsibilities include driving production, financial (revenue and cost), employment, and quality goals through comprehensive farm execution planning and oversight. The role requires collaboration with corporate leadership and coordination with internal marketing and sales functions, along with proactive identification and resolution of risks and opportunities. Full lifecycle responsibility spans staffing, supply chain, finance, technology, operations, and production, while managing matrixed functional leaders and local representatives across these areas.
The Farm President will also lead domestic political and business relationships, including establishing and maintaining government relationships and broader business relationships that support delivery commitments related to finance, sustainability, and community partnership. The client expects demonstrated success in growing a business, team, and culture, with English and Spanish fluency preferred and international business experience—particularly familiarity with running a subsidiary within a matrix organization—also valued. Travel, including international, is expected as needed, and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
