The client is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and collaborative Family Center Director to lead the Northside Family Center and advance the mission of strengthening families and building healthier communities through education, support, and family-centered programming. The Director provides overall leadership and management of the center, serving as a key member of the leadership team while ensuring high-quality services for the children and families served. The role includes responsibility for program operations, staff supervision, community partnerships, quality assurance, budget management, grant support, and compliance with applicable county standards.
Primary responsibilities include providing leadership and daily oversight of the Family Center; supervising, mentoring, and evaluating staff; ensuring compliance with family support quality standards; and developing, implementing, and evaluating family programming. The Director will monitor program quality and client outcomes, prepare routine program reports, review and approve payroll, collaborate on annual budgeting and fiscal management, and assist with grant development, reporting, and program sustainability. The role also involves building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and county agencies, working with a Parent Council to support family engagement, leading staff meetings, encouraging professional development, and participating in leadership meetings, community collaborations, and organizational fundraising events.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a related field such as Human Services, Social Work, or Public Administration, along with at least three years of supervisory or administrative experience within a nonprofit or human services organization. The client expects strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with experience managing staff, programs, and budgets, and a commitment to serving diverse families and communities. Experience with family support programming, community engagement, grant-funded programs, and mental health services is preferred, and employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background and clearance checks.
