The client is seeking an Executive Director to lead mission-focused nonprofit work that strengthens healthy, stable, and vital communities. The organization provides programs, services, support, and advocacy to empower an ethnically, economically, and culturally diverse community, including employment training, housing stability, youth development, financial coaching, and foster care support. The Executive Director will advance the organization’s strategy and long-term sustainability while maintaining a culture of deep community trust.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide visionary, relationship-centered leadership across a two-entity structure and oversee day-to-day operations of programs and administrative functions. Key responsibilities include developing and evaluating the organization’s strategic plan in close partnership with the Board; ensuring service delivery is high-quality and outcomes-driven; recruiting, developing, inspiring, and retaining a high-performing, diverse staff team; and supporting financial health, revenue diversification, and organizational modernization. The role also includes serving as the organization’s primary ambassador to the community and relevant stakeholders.
The Executive Director will lead fundraising and development, ensuring adequate resources to execute the budget by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors and key funding partners. The role will include making direct solicitations of major gifts and partnering with board and staff to sustain a culture of fundraising. The Executive Director will also serve as a primary ambassador and spokesperson, building relationships with community leaders, partners, donors, elected officials, and media; strengthen sector partnerships and advocacy; ensure program excellence through alignment with mission and strategic goals; and integrate fairness, address systemic inequities, and promote inclusive, respectful, and responsive leadership across policies and practices.
