The Executive Director position involves reporting directly to the UBCM Executive Committee and overseeing a staff of 35. The main responsibilities include providing strategic advice, designing and implementing advocacy and outreach initiatives, member engagement, policy development, funding program delivery, and member benefit programs. The Executive Director plays a crucial role in ensuring that our client effectively represents and advances the collective interests of all local governments in British Columbia, in line with its mission to be the recognized advocate for their common interests.This role requires operating at the intersection of governance and execution, providing strategic advice to the President and Executive Committee while ensuring the effective implementation of the annual work program and organizational priorities. The Executive Director is responsible for leading and managing a team to achieve our client's goals and objectives, as well as fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
