The client seeks an Executive Director to serve as the organization’s chief executive and senior strategic leader, working closely with the President, the Board Chair, and the Board of Directors. This role provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership to advance the organization’s mission focused on skin health and dermatologic disease, supporting long-term sustainability and organizational impact. The Executive Director will oversee operations including strategic planning, administration, fundraising, financial management, marketing, technology integration, community engagement, and program execution, while leading a lean, high-performing team.
As the organization’s primary ambassador, the Executive Director will cultivate relationships with donors, researchers, clinicians, corporate partners, community leaders, and other key stakeholders to expand philanthropic support, strengthen strategic partnerships, and elevate visibility. The role includes partnership with the Board to establish organizational goals, shape strategic direction, and execute key initiatives, as well as delivering timely updates on organizational performance, financial health, and emerging opportunities. The Executive Director will prepare and facilitate Board and committee meetings while ensuring alignment, accountability, and execution of strategic priorities, and will work with Board leadership to strengthen engagement and long-term governance practices.
The Executive Director will provide overall financial stewardship through budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, using financial data and key metrics to inform strategic decisions and support sustainability. Responsibilities also include leading a comprehensive fundraising strategy covering major gifts, grants, sponsorships, corporate partnerships, and donor engagement, with an emphasis on expanding and diversifying revenue streams. The role will manage day-to-day operations by implementing scalable systems and operational best practices, and will recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing team through coaching, accountability, and professional development.
