the client is seeking an inspirational, collaborative, and empowering Executive Director (ED) to provide strategic direction and oversight for the organization’s work advancing health and dignity for people living with and impacted by HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and intersecting epidemics. the ED will help strengthen governmental public health through advocacy and capacity building, supporting efforts focused on prevention, care, treatment, health equity, and reducing stigma and systemic barriers.
the Executive Director is responsible for overseeing organizational administration, programs, policy, business development, and the strategic plan. the role reports to the executive committee of the board of directors and will serve as the organization’s trusted public face while partnering closely with the leadership team to ensure that operations, team performance, program delivery, and revenue-generating areas are aligned with the client’s mission, culture, and core values.
the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized and underserved populations and a strong commitment to equity and inclusivity. the ED is expected to lead, further develop, and support a dedicated team to respond to the challenges and opportunities associated with ending HIV and eliminating viral hepatitis, while promoting access to care and services for individuals affected by HIV and viral hepatitis and related syndemic conditions.
