The client seeks a strategic, entrepreneurial Executive Director to lead its mission and grow the organization’s capacity to support students with a passion for culinary and pastry arts. The organization is a nonprofit focused on expanding access to culinary, pastry, and hospitality education for students with financial need, providing scholarships that help students complete their education and transition into the food and hospitality workforce. The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive and chief fundraising officer, working to strengthen the organization’s impact and long-term growth.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership, strategy, fundraising performance, financial stewardship, governance support, and external representation of the client. This is a hands-on, revenue-driven role that blends organizational planning with day-to-day operational execution of priorities. The position will personally lead major gift fundraising and corporate partnership development while overseeing a small operational team and shared services, with support from external marketing and established payroll and accounting resources.
The Executive Director will help advance fundraising goals by building and scaling development capabilities, including plans to add a Development and Operations Coordinator to increase capacity. The role emphasizes partnership development with donors and industry stakeholders across relevant sectors, and it requires strong stewardship of resources, leadership, and the ability to represent the organization publicly. The Executive Director will also oversee governance-related support and ensure that strategy and operations align with the client’s scholarship and education access objectives.
