Leadership opportunity for an Executive Director in Transaction Banking (Business Management & In-Business Risk) with a large financial services organization. The role will help shape and deliver the EMEA transaction banking strategy by partnering with global and regional executives, leading a business execution team, ensuring strong governance, and supporting growth across cash management and transaction banking services.
Key responsibilities include defining and implementing business strategy aligned to global priorities, embedding performance standards, and overseeing execution of strategic programmes. The role will lead governance frameworks and senior-level reporting, maintain a strong risk and control environment, and partner with controls, product, and operations teams to meet regulatory obligations. It will also represent the function in senior governance forums, while building and tracking financial plans, analysing business performance, and supporting investment planning and expense optimization.
The role will partner with sales to improve client profitability and pipeline discipline, oversee pricing models and client metrics to support wallet-share growth, and provide people leadership by leading, mentoring, and developing an expert business execution team. The successful candidate will bring extensive financial services experience, ideally in transaction banking, proven leadership in complex high-pressure environments, strong knowledge of controls, risk frameworks, and governance, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. They should be able to drive change, challenge the status quo, and deliver results in a trusted, self-motivated, and collaborative manner.
