The next Executive Director of the Gateway Early Childhood Alliance in St. Louis, Missouri will be responsible for aligning and stewarding the shared agenda, improving quality across the field, and expanding access to quality early childhood education seats for families in need. They will need to contribute to shaping the organization's foundational plans and carry them forward, as well as lead a fundraising strategy to increase revenue and long-term sustainability through proactive engagement with donors and funders. The Executive Director will also need to define and hold the organization's focus on system-level impact, execute and deepen the impact of the Alliance's strategy, steward relationships, finances, reputation, and influence, and cultivate public/private partnerships to strengthen the early childhood ecosystem.In addition to strategic and systems leadership, the Executive Director will need to lead a fundraising strategy that increases revenue and sustainability, identify and pursue grant opportunities, and develop collaborative funding models. They will also serve as the face and voice of the Alliance to community partners, funders, policymakers, and the public, repair and deepen trust with providers, and sustain and rebuild the Alliance's coalition across caregivers, providers, educators, advocates, and partners. The successful candidate will need to have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders to advance the Alliance's mission of improving early childhood education in the St. Louis area.
