The client is seeking an inspiring and collaborative Executive Director to lead a mission-driven nonprofit at the center of a historic Seattle community. The Executive Director will guide the organization’s strategic vision, strengthen community partnerships, champion social justice, and ensure the Market remains a model of compassionate urban development. The role includes leading a dedicated team and collaborating closely with the Board to advance an inclusive, comprehensive organizational direction.
Key responsibilities include nurturing a culture of belonging for staff and volunteers; leading strategic planning, operations, and financial management with a focus on sustainability; building partnerships with government, civic, and community organizations; and overseeing fundraising efforts, including campaigns and signature events. The Executive Director will also align organizational structure, policies, and procedures to support the organization’s mission, and will promote the client’s impact within the Seattle community and beyond.
Candidates should bring proven senior leadership experience in nonprofit operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, and fundraising, along with strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.
