A client provides school-based mental health support for youth across multiple school campuses in the San Mateo and Santa Clara County area. The organization delivers crisis intervention, ongoing counseling, and proactive mental health education designed to reduce barriers to care and support students’ social and emotional wellbeing, with a focus on making mental health services accessible and normalized across kindergarten through high school graduation.
The client is seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Director to provide both strategic leadership and day-to-day operational oversight. Reporting to a community-based Board of Directors, the Executive Director will help identify and secure the resources needed to sustain and expand services, and will serve as an ambassador within the community. The role includes leading short- and long-range planning and evaluation, recruiting, training, and empowering staff, and ensuring organizational sustainability through careful budget planning, monitoring, and ongoing review of internal systems, policies, and procedures.
The Executive Director will oversee programs and services aligned with the mission and goals, ensuring continued evaluation of best practices and effective systems for outcome tracking and contract compliance. The role also involves establishing and cultivating partnerships with school districts and other community stakeholders to advance impact and reach. In addition, the Executive Director will develop and implement a diversified fund development strategy, manage funding proposals and reporting, direct branding and communications to maintain organizational visibility, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders to increase awareness of youth mental health needs.
