Description

The client is seeking a full-time Executive Director to serve as the chief executive officer and provide organizational leadership and management during a leadership transition. This leader will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations while guiding the organization through a period of strategic planning and growth. The role will support and build out a strategic model and plan over approximately 18 months, with an emphasis on establishing an approach for long-term organizational sustainability.

Responsibilities include developing mission-focused strategies for operations, fundraising, and community engagement, and providing leadership to staff through clarity of roles, priorities, and expectations. The Executive Director will maintain a healthy, collaborative organizational culture and support inclusion and empowerment across the organization. The position will also support programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and operational systems, including recommending timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.

The Executive Director will oversee operations and administration, including the effective completion of construction, rehabilitation, contractor, and/or development projects aligned with organizational goals, supported by systems that track progress and evaluate program components. The leader will serve as the primary representative to internal and external stakeholders, maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation, and collaborate with the Board and relevant committees to monitor cash flow, financial health, and budget adherence. Fundraising responsibilities include developing and implementing a development strategy, maintaining strong relationships with partners, funders, and community stakeholders, and supporting donor communication and grant reporting efforts; nonprofit financial management, real-estate management, and donor relationship experience are considered a plus.
