Description

The client is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic, financial, and organizational leadership in partnership with two Artistic Directors. All three leadership roles report directly to the board. The Executive Director will advance the organization’s mission at the intersection of art and community, strengthening financial sustainability and cultivating relationships with donors, foundations, partners, and the broader community to support long-term growth.

The Executive Director will lead fundraising and development, including building and implementing fundraising strategies across individual, foundation, and other funding sources. The role involves cultivating and stewarding donor and institutional relationships, overseeing grant strategy and collaborating on proposal development with staff and consultants, and partnering with the board to expand fundraising networks and engagement. The Executive Director will also support marketing and communications direction and maximize earned revenue through on-site programming, fee-for-service, education, and related artistic programs delivered through the client’s co-location hub.

The Executive Director will provide organizational leadership by guiding organizational planning with the Artistic Directors and board, ensuring alignment between artistic programming, education initiatives, and organizational sustainability, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture for artists, staff, and community partners. The role will represent the client publicly within the arts community, civic organizations, and philanthropic networks, and will strengthen partnerships by aligning programmatic vision with organizational resources while cultivating relationships with community organizations and cultural partners, including within the Lawrenceville neighborhood. The Executive Director will manage the Director of Operations, the Development team, and a fractional CFO to ensure strong alignment between artistic and educational programming, organizational resources, and community impact.
