The client seeks an exceptional Executive Director to lead its next chapter. The role is responsible for guiding an agency whose mandate spans urban mobility, automated traffic enforcement, rideshare regulation, EV infrastructure, and airport operations, and which is a cornerstone of public safety and economic vitality. With a workforce of over 1,000 employees and an operating budget of $351 million, the Executive Director serves as the organization’s chief executive and public face.
Reporting to a six-member Board of Directors, the Executive Director oversees all operations, stewards key government relationships, leads a diverse and unionized workforce, and drives the agency’s strategic vision forward. The position emphasizes strong leadership, collaboration, and public-sector instincts, along with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while advancing priorities that support community impact.
The successful candidate will bring proven financial acumen, including experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, as well as strong knowledge and understanding of Greater Philadelphia’s nuances and relationships. The client is looking for a collaborative leader with high emotional intelligence, inclusive leadership, and a track record of diversity, equity, and inclusive leadership.
