Description

the client is seeking an Executive Director of People & Culture, a defining leadership role at the centre of shaping what comes next. The organisation is on an evolution journey focused on transformation across people, processes and culture, with the goal of building a high-performing, values-driven organisation that is deeply connected to its communities to help solve the housing crisis in North Kent.

In this position, you will lead the development of a modern, insight-led People & Culture function fully aligned to organisational strategy and long-term sustainability. You will evolve a strategic, data-informed HR approach that supports workforce, culture and organisational effectiveness, define and embed culture, strengthen leadership capability, and ensure colleague experience translates into better customer outcomes. You will also operate at the heart of organisational governance as a trusted adviser to the Chief Executive and Board on people-related matters, navigating complexity, managing risk, and helping ensure the organisation operates with high standards of safety, accountability and integrity.

The client is looking for an executive-level leader with a track record of shaping culture, leading organisational change and building high-performing, inclusive environments. You should be able to translate strategic intent into tangible outcomes using insight and evidence to drive decisions and measure impact, and lead in a values-led, visible and collaborative way that can influence at Board level while staying connected to colleagues. Experience may come from housing or other sectors, but it must reflect an understanding of social housing’s social impact and the importance of governance and safety in a purpose-led, regulated environment.
