The client is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources to lead and oversee all HR functions across three institutions serving the Southeast Texas region. The role includes ownership of employee relations, recruiting, benefits, compliance, and training and development, while serving as a key stakeholder in organizational strategy. The Executive Director advises leadership on change management, resource planning, and the implementation of HR processes, and drives goal setting, performance feedback, and rewards initiatives, with a strong focus on compliance with applicable state and federal employment mandates.
Responsibilities include managing complex employee relations and investigations; overseeing leave of absence and accommodation administration; conducting equity and market analyses; and managing benefits and related reporting. The Executive Director is also expected to ensure HRIS compliance and effective HR communications, design onboarding and offboarding processes, and collaborate with payroll and finance to support accurate and timely employee payments. Additionally, the role serves as an institutional representative in mediation, litigation, and EEOC proceedings, and manages Workers’ Compensation claims.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources or an equivalent field and have at least 10 years of broad HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience. The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable of employment laws including EEO, ADA, Title VI and VII, FMLA, PDA, and FLSA.
