The client is seeking an Executive Director to lead a new chapter while honoring a long-standing legacy of partnering with youth to build an inclusive community where all are welcomed, valued, and respected. Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director will provide strategic, financial, and operational leadership and will champion the organization’s vision by amplifying the voices of youth. The role will support regular monitoring, development, and evaluation of staff, programs, and internal policies and procedures, with final responsibility for management decisions.
The Executive Director will create and sustain a mission-, vision-, and values-focused culture that emphasizes servant-leadership, judgment-free interactions, and inclusive programming. Working closely with Board and leadership colleagues, the role is expected to lead strategic planning, direct the development of annual budgets aligned with organizational values and plans, and collaborate on streamlining processes to improve efficiency and operational excellence. The Executive Director will partner with program leadership to deliver program excellence and remove barriers to access, while also providing human resources leadership across recruitment, orientation, team building, and recognition of staff and volunteers.
The Executive Director will lead funding and resource development efforts, including developing new fundraising initiatives and diversifying funding sources. This includes stewarding relationships with the existing donor base and building meaningful relationships with new donors, as well as seeking increased financial support through major gifts and corporate engagement and maintaining key funding relationships, including with government and major, long-standing donors. The ideal candidate is described as a curious, relational, self-starter who is tenacious, visionary, decisive, and results-oriented, with strong listening skills, resilience in driving change, and a values- and mission-driven, doer approach.
