Description

The client seeks an Executive Director to serve as the strategic and operational leader of a mission-driven nonprofit community branch focused on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The role will lead programs, people, performance, and partnerships to advance organizational goals and deliver an outstanding member experience. The Executive Director will oversee a dynamic operation that includes a $2.5M annual operating budget, 3,700 membership units, and a 55,000-square-foot facility, while driving membership and program growth and maintaining a best-in-class facility.

Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day branch operations and ensuring programs are high-quality, relevant, and aligned with organizational strategy. The role will serve as a visible community leader and relationship-builder with civic, nonprofit, and corporate partners, strengthening community partnerships to expand reach, impact, and earned revenue. The Executive Director will recruit, coach, and retain staff and volunteers, fostering an inclusive, accountable culture that supports professional growth and continuous improvement.

The Executive Director will manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls to meet revenue and expense targets, ensuring resources are aligned with branch priorities and broader organizational goals. The position also includes maintaining a safe, welcoming facility and a strong member/customer experience, as well as leading annual campaign and broader philanthropy efforts to grow donor and volunteer engagement. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of senior-level operations or leadership experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, demonstrated success managing teams and budgets, experience engaging and developing volunteers, and a strong commitment to serving diverse communities and building inclusive environments; experience building partnerships with municipalities and community stakeholders is also preferred.
