The client is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the chief executive, strategic leader, and public voice, working closely with the Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission and shape its next chapter of impact. This is a collaborative, entrepreneurial leadership role focused on convening stakeholders, building trusted relationships, and advancing meaningful change through strategic leadership and advocacy.
In partnership with an engaged Board, the Executive Director will expand the organization’s influence, advance its advocacy priorities, grow philanthropic support, strengthen organizational capacity, and help position the client for long-term sustainability and impact. The role will also support the client’s work at the intersection of conservation, public policy, science, and grassroots organizing, with a focus on protecting waters that sustain communities and ecosystems across the region.
The position is expected to involve extensive travel, up to one week per month, with travel expenses reimbursed. The Executive Director must be based in either Las Vegas or Reno while working remotely, and will report to the Board of Directors. The client seeks a leader who can honor past successes while defining and executing priorities for what comes next.
