The client seeks an Executive Director to serve as the chief executive of a multi-specialty medical group practice and to partner with its governing body and leadership to establish and execute strategic plans for overall success. The Executive Director will oversee management and day-to-day operations delegated by the governing board, with authority to implement responsibilities in alignment with established directions and policies. This role includes responsibility for strategic and growth planning, establishing and maintaining systems that support high-quality care, and implementing sound fiscal operations.
The Executive Director will measure, assess, and drive continuous improvement of practice performance, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include promoting the practice within the community and building and maintaining productive business relationships with local, regional, and national partners, including hospital and health system partners. The role emphasizes collaboration across clinical and operational stakeholders and supports partnerships that advance organizational goals.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or a related field; a master’s degree and/or related certification is preferred. The client expects 10 years of leadership experience in senior executive management roles, including progressive senior/executive responsibilities within a multi-specialty group practice. Strong communication, financial acumen, team-building and motivational skills, analytical judgment, and proven success working productively with governing leadership, medical staff, employees, and external constituencies are required. The position is for an organization with multiple clinic locations in the Puget Sound region, supporting a broad range of primary, specialty, and surgical care.
