The client is seeking an Executive Director to lead organizational success within a complex international NGO context, working in a bi-national global co-directorate structure alongside an Executive Director. The role is centered on driving strategic growth, inspiring confidence, and making a tangible global impact within a Christ-centered environment. The Executive Director will co-lead the organization’s mission to renew hope, reconcile lives, and restore creation through community-focused work addressing poverty, health, food security, peace and justice, economic opportunity, and disaster response.
Key responsibilities include co-developing and implementing the organization’s strategic vision in alignment with board directives and global priorities, providing direction across programs and systems, and maintaining global accountability for outcomes. The role will lead strategic planning processes, champion innovation and best practices in international development and relief, and support the impact, effectiveness, and integrity of global programs. The Executive Director will also manage organizational risk through strategic risk plans and protocols, ensuring operational effectiveness and promoting a supportive, professional, Christian organizational culture.
The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and oversight to core organizational functions such as HR, Finance, IT, and Communications through direct supervision of chief officers, ensuring alignment with mission, values, and long-term goals. The role includes collaboratively building and sustaining relationships with strategic partners, donors, churches, and networks to strengthen the organization’s profile and financial sustainability, as well as representing the organization in denominational and inter-agency forums as needed. The Executive Director will serve as a key liaison to the national and bi-national boards, ensuring timely, transparent reporting and acting on board decisions.
