Description

The Executive Director will be responsible for establishing and leading the administrative, operational, and governance functions of our client, including building the necessary Secretariat to support the organization's work. They will develop systems, policies, and frameworks to ensure our client fulfills its responsibilities under the SINAA Agreement and maintains independence, accountability, and sound governance. Additionally, the Executive Director will position our client within the global community of conservation trust funds by building relationships with peer institutions and drawing on relevant experience and networks. They will provide clear advice to the Board, exercise sound judgment, and cultivate trusted relationships with various stakeholders while representing our client with professionalism and integrity.As the public face of the Society, the Executive Director will bring diplomacy and respect to relationships with QIA, Inuit organizations, communities, governments, philanthropic partners, and other stakeholders. They will demonstrate a commitment to Inuit-led conservation and stewardship while preserving our client's independent governance and oversight role. The Executive Director will navigate complex institutional interests and ensure the organization's accountability and good governance. Overall, they will play a crucial role in establishing our client as a respected and effective conservation trust fund within the broader global community.
