As the Executive Director, you will provide functional leadership and be accountable to the client’s Board of Directors for implementing the organization’s long-term strategic direction and guiding its continued evolution. You will lead a team of program and service delivery staff to deliver cost-effective programs and services that make effective use of the farm facilities for individuals with disabilities and other users, while ensuring respectful alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
You will oversee the care and operation of all aspects of the farm, with a commitment to protecting the natural environment and ensuring the safety of staff, volunteers, participants, visitors, and animals. You will also work toward operational and financial goals through effective management and innovative revenue-generating practices, supporting a high-quality experience for clients and their families.
The role is centered on transformative, future-focused leadership, typically involving practical vision—honoring the organization’s heritage while helping to imagine and build an inspired future for program delivery and the overall customer experience. You will be expected to develop, equip, and empower staff, volunteers, and stakeholders, foster authentic relationships and collaborative teamwork, and deliver high-level customer service while embracing change and complexity.
