the client seeks its first Executive Director to advance a charitable mission rooted in Christian faith giving and a commitment to education, children and social services, healthcare, and animal welfare. Following the founder’s passing and the anticipated expansion of the foundation’s corpus through his estate, the organization is preparing to grow in scale and long-term impact.
Reporting to and working closely with the client’s board of directors, the Executive Director will help shape strategy and build the organization’s operating approach to carry out the founder’s intentions to provide ongoing support to specified charities for decades to come. This role is expected to be highly hands-on, with an emphasis on launching and strengthening systems, partnerships, and governance practices that enable sustained philanthropic activity.
The ideal candidate will be able to lead in a “start-up while scaling” environment, demonstrating clear-eyed judgment, strong execution, and the ability to build something meaningful from the ground up. The Executive Director should be mission-driven and collaborative, with a mindset aligned to long-term legacy building and board partnership, while helping ensure the client’s philanthropic objectives are carried forward with integrity and consistency.
