The University of Rochester is seeking an experienced fundraising executive to serve as the Executive Director for Advancement at the Wilmot Cancer Institute. This senior role involves providing strategic direction for Wilmot's research-centered fundraising enterprise, including areas such as developmental therapeutics, early-phase clinical trials, and precision oncology. The Executive Director will also lead the revitalization of a region-wide grateful patient fundraising program and work closely with the Director of the Wilmot Cancer Institute to advance philanthropic investment in the nationally recognized cancer center.Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for URMC Advancement, the Executive Director will be a key member of the University's advancement leadership team. The role involves generating philanthropic commitments at major and principal gift levels, strengthening advisory board engagement, and positioning volunteer leaders as strategic partners in advancing Wilmot's philanthropic priorities. The Executive Director will lead an advancement team dedicated to Wilmot and partner across the university to drive philanthropic support for the cancer center's future capital priorities and endowed faculty positions.
