The client is seeking an Executive Director, Human Resources – Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a strategic HR partner to senior administrative leaders and their teams. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional client service, supporting structural and strategic development, and leading change in a fast-paced environment. The position contributes to remodeling and reengineering workflows to enhance outcomes, with a strong focus on change management across an organization of approximately 4,000 employees.

Key responsibilities include partnering with leaders to attract, onboard, retain, and develop talent; enabling performance; and fostering a culture aligned to the organization’s mission and goals. The role is expected to support organizational transformation by shifting from a primarily transactional HR perspective toward a more strategic, business-focused approach, using consultative partnership with leadership to manage priorities and direction effectively throughout the organization. It also involves leading and/or contributing to change management strategies and translating change communication from executive leadership down through teams.

Qualifications include a minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of relevant HR experience, some or all within a large healthcare organization. The client is looking for a transformative HR change leader with success in redesigning and operationalizing change, senior-level generalist HR leadership experience in large and complex healthcare settings (preferably within a university environment), and demonstrated strategic and forward-thinking capabilities. Additional expectations include strong compensation knowledge, evidence of data-driven measurement of transformation both quantitatively and qualitatively, strong communication and executive-level partnership skills, the ability to work at pace under pressure while maintaining quality, demonstrated EQ/IQ, and the ability to be on site 100%.
