Description

The client is seeking an Executive Dean to lead the operational delivery of performing arts training. The institution, located in South-East London, specializes in dance and musical theatre, offering multidisciplinary programmes tailored to a diverse and international student body. The training is intensive and aligned with the needs of the professional performance industry, aiming to prepare students for successful careers both on stage and on screen. The next phase of development focuses on implementing a more standardized and scalable model to ensure a consistent, high-quality education across all disciplines.

As Executive Dean, the role involves overseeing the delivery of all training programs to meet defined standards, ensuring alignment with industry expectations. The candidate will report directly to the Principal and CEO and work closely alongside the Artistic Director. Responsibilities include translating the institution's strategic direction into practical implementation, upholding high teaching standards, and fostering an exceptional student experience. The Executive Dean will also lead the academic managers and delivery teams, embedding a culture of accountability and quality, and intervening where necessary to maintain standards.

The ideal candidate should be experienced, creative, and entrepreneurial, capable of making operational decisions that balance quality and resource priorities. They should work collaboratively with the Artistic Director and the executive team to ensure artistic goals are achieved through structured delivery and incorporate industry feedback into program development. Additionally, there is an opportunity to contribute to new program development, diversify offerings, and support the institution's future ambitions, including postgraduate initiatives and potential international collaborations.
