The client seeks an Executive Artistic Director (EAD) to lead and advance the organization’s artistic mission. The role is the chief executive responsible for guiding daily operations, overseeing programming and exhibitions, supporting collection stewardship, and partnering with artists and community stakeholders. The EAD will report to an engaged Board of Directors and help shape the organization’s next chapter, including leadership during a period of gallery renovation and a capital campaign building momentum.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary, entrepreneurial, and emotionally intelligent leader with a strong balance of artistic sensibility and organizational acumen. Responsibilities will include advancing artistic vision while ensuring financial sustainability, managing complex operations and budgeting, cultivating relationships with major donors, and curating gallery exhibitions. The EAD will also work with staff, artists, and donors to create community impact and strengthen the organization’s influence beyond its local setting.
The client is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to taking affirmative action measures to ensure equitable employment practices. The EAD is expected to lead with an understanding of the arts as a vital force for community vitality and cultural preservation, and to support a non-discriminatory workplace that values all applicants and employees regardless of protected characteristics.
