The University of Wyoming is seeking a Wyoming Excellence Chair in Special Education to lead the College of Education's programs in this field. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and collaborative scholar with a strong background in special education, a history of successful extramural funding, and solid leadership skills. This 9-month, full-time, tenured position reports to the Dean of the College of Education and supports undergraduate and graduate programs in special education, as well as collaborating with colleagues in related programs.The Wyoming Excellence Chair in Special Education will have access to discretionary funds to support research, teaching, and service in special education. This position is part of a growing faculty that aims to develop high-quality special educators, support local school districts in providing services to students with disabilities, collaborate with the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities, and advance best practices in special education. The successful candidate will be expected to forge multi-disciplinary partnerships, work on campus, and engage actively with local school districts throughout Wyoming to promote excellence in special education.
