The client invites applications for two senior investigators to fill endowed leadership roles focused on brain health, cognitive aging, and memory. These positions support translational and clinically applied research aimed at identifying determinants of brain health and preventing cognitive decline with aging, with an opportunity to provide strategic vision and leadership that may extend to national and international impact.
Successful candidates are expected to develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for translational and clinically applied research in brain health, cognitive aging, and memory, including leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The roles include securing extramural funding to support the research agenda, mentoring junior faculty and fostering a collaborative research environment, and representing the research institute and the client in regional, national, and international collaborations.
Applicants should hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree or equivalent, and demonstrate expertise in translational and clinically applied research in brain health, cognitive aging, and memory, with a preference for programs focused on interventional studies. The client seeks candidates with a strong record securing extramural funding from federal agencies or other prestigious organizations, at least three years of administrative experience leading multidisciplinary research teams, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Faculty appointment eligibility at the level of Associate or Full Professor at the client is expected.
