The client is seeking an English Language Learning Instructor to lead assigned literacy classes using the Ready and Relevant curriculum and to support agency priorities. The role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction and support that helps students advance their learning and achieve individual goals. The position will typically include in-person and/or remote teaching, with some evening work required, and it is a full-time exempt role. Preferred candidates have experience teaching English language learners.
Key responsibilities include teaching assigned classes at designated locations and providing support and referrals to help students address barriers and transition needs. The instructor will arrange for student assessment and evaluation, and create standards-aligned lesson plans and related materials while completing required documentation in a centrally accessible system. The instructor will also engage in professional development and ongoing training, collect and monitor student performance data, and support compliance with applicable state, federal, and grant requirements.
The instructor will monitor student progress, solve problems to maintain program compliance, and participate in internal committees and teams as well as relevant external partnerships. The role requires following agency protocols for effective service delivery and providing local and regional leadership through subject-matter expertise. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, with experience teaching adults preferred; strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to changing needs. Additional eligibility requirements include Act 33/34 clearances, and the role requires use of a personal vehicle for local travel and physical capability to lift, pull, and push up to 40 pounds.
