As an Engineering Lead in banking technology, you will drive the delivery of enterprise-scale technology initiatives across a digital banking landscape. This role shapes technical strategy, oversees end-to-end solution delivery, and leads multiple engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and resilient technology platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, and cross-functional technology teams to translate business strategy into technology solutions while maintaining engineering excellence, governance, and delivery quality for mission-critical systems.
Your responsibilities will include leading end-to-end delivery across multiple engineering squads, developing and executing technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and long-term architecture, and providing technical leadership across solution design, system integration, estimation, capacity planning, and project forecasting. You will partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to convert requirements into scalable technical solutions, promote engineering best practices such as standardization and reusable services, and drive continuous improvement. You will establish and maintain engineering governance to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and SDLC standards, serving as a senior escalation point for complex delivery and production issues.
You will also collaborate with Architecture, Change, Release, and Infrastructure teams to plan and execute releases successfully, lead technical risk assessments and solution governance throughout the project lifecycle, and foster a high-performance engineering culture through mentoring and influencing engineering practices. You are expected to have experience leading large-scale application delivery and enterprise technology transformation in large environments, preferably financial services, along with strong technical depth across application architecture, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and modern software development. Experience leading multiple Agile engineering teams, strong SDLC and engineering governance knowledge (including secure development practices and delivery/operations principles), and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on leadership are key, with regulated-industry and digital banking or wealth management exposure considered advantageous.
