Description

As the Engineering Director for Commercial Nuclear Services at the client, you will lead all engineering activities across new nuclear and engineering projects as assigned. You will direct delivery of engineering services and oversee engineering portfolio deliverables aligned to quality, cost, and schedule goals, while also managing assigned portions of project budgets for technical scope. You will be responsible for developing and implementing approved engineering plans and ensuring effective design change control and configuration management so that designs remain defined, controlled, and verified.

You will ensure technical integration and interface control across disciplines within each project and with the client, including maintaining oversight of technical methods, materials, parts, equipment, and processes essential to safety and performance. You will execute delegated Design Authority responsibilities as required, manage technical deliverables budget, schedule, and quality, and monitor the technical quality of engineering deliverables. You will review and approve key technical documentation and help ensure final deliverables meet customer requirements and comply with applicable nuclear codes and standards.

You will also ensure qualified and appropriately assigned staff are working on projects, providing coaching and performance feedback as needed. The role requires strong collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders, external engineering organizations, and project leadership partners, and it includes critical review of work products and mentoring support. Required qualifications include an engineering bachelor’s degree, professional licensure or equivalent nuclear operational certification/training, extensive industry and commercial nuclear project experience, demonstrated leadership, strong written and verbal communication, and U.S. citizenship.
