The client seeks an Employment Litigation Managing Attorney to lead its plaintiff-side employment litigation team. In this senior leadership role, you will help shape legal strategy, oversee high-impact single-plaintiff matters, and mentor attorneys in a collaborative environment. The position focuses on managing complex employment claims and supporting strong outcomes for clients.

Qualified candidates will have an active California Bar license in good standing and a Juris Doctor (JD). The client expects 7+ years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience, including substantial experience handling single-plaintiff matters. Strong background managing attorneys, legal teams, or practice groups is required, along with comprehensive knowledge of California employment laws and claims including FEHA, wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and whistleblower laws. The role also requires strong skills across litigation strategy and case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, settlement, and trial preparation, plus excellent legal writing, analytical, and organizational abilities.

Trial experience is strongly preferred, along with demonstrated success mentoring and developing attorneys. Bilingual (Spanish) may be a plus, and experience leading teams in high-growth or dynamic environments is valued. Responsibilities include overseeing and mentoring litigators from intake through resolution; personally evaluating new matters and developing case strategy; managing all phases of litigation including pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, arbitration, and trial preparation; ensuring high-quality work and compliance across relevant California and federal court proceedings; and leading case reviews, providing feedback, and driving process improvements in partnership with firm leadership.
