Independent Schools NSW is looking for an experienced School Counsellor to join their Student Services team as an Education Consultant. This role will involve providing expert advice on student mental health, wellbeing, and inclusive education within the independent school sector. The Education Consultant will report to the Manager, Mental Health and Wellbeing and will operate within a centralised advisory model, responding to complex and high-risk matters raised by schools.The successful candidate will work closely with principals and executive teams across NSW, offering professional judgement, guidance, and written recommendations to school leaders. They will also support schools in navigating sensitive and high-stakes issues, while building sector capability through professional learning, school visits, and system-level advice. This is a senior advisory role that requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of student mental health, and the ability to provide expert guidance to schools in the independent sector.
