Description

The client is seeking an Ecommerce Director to serve as operations manager for the Insignia Department. The role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, budgeting, and departmental processes and procedures, while overseeing day-to-day operations in alignment with policies and objectives set by the Executive Committee. The director will also work to internalize ecommerce-related functions after prior third-party sales arrangements.

Key responsibilities include supervising all aspects of insignia operations, ensuring timely customer order fulfillment, monitoring synchronization between the e-commerce platform and point-of-sale systems, and establishing reorder point and replenishment processes. The director will oversee inventory safeguarding protocols, coordinate pricing protocol adherence for pins, manage reorder and backorder communications to members, and help streamline approval workflows. Additional duties include conducting physical inventories, monitoring product and packaging quality, developing after-sale return and repair protocols, and supporting sales and coordination activities during events and visited states, as well as coordinating design, production, and delivery of new insignia.

The director will lead vendor management by managing contracts and purchase orders with external suppliers, setting and monitoring performance and product quality standards, and ensuring quality outcomes with both vendors and internal staff. The role includes analyzing sales order metrics and making recommendations related to inventory and retiring pins, planning annual budgets, and producing regular monthly reporting and sales tax reporting as required by internal stakeholders. Marketing responsibilities may include managing the design and coordination of marketing campaigns and member-facing materials, recommending promotional incentives, and aligning activities with the appropriate leadership; the director will also supervise, interview, train, and develop departmental staff.
