The client is seeking an eCommerce Director for the US to lead the end-to-end online retail and eCommerce business. The role reports to the US Managing Director, sits on the US Leadership team, and has P&L responsibility for online sales channels. The director will partner closely with the US Offline Sales Director to drive a holistic, sustainable growth approach, ensuring go-to-market strategies support category growth and the success of new launches.
Key responsibilities include developing digital commerce strategy and translating US commercial objectives and roadmaps into short-, mid-, and long-term growth plans for online channels. The role will drive sales and margin through digital channels and marketplaces by executing communications, digital media, and marketing plans, while advancing D2C and B2B pillars to build a connected consumer ecosystem. The director will also develop an omni-channel distribution plan with sales leadership to support incremental consumer and customer gains and improve conversion from offline to online, and will create content and digital merchandising strategies to maximize performance across retailer platforms and key KPIs.
Additional responsibilities include owning end-to-end planning for online sales operations in partnership with finance, supply chain, and manufacturing, and developing and driving the direct-to-consumer strategy across website, mobile platforms, and retail stores. The director will collaborate with global brand, product, and digital teams to shape consumer experience vision and ensure alignment with brand and commercial priorities, and will make data-driven decisions supported by testing and learning. This includes planning and execution of subscription and loyalty programs, defining digital touchpoint technology requirements and improvements to support products and cost efficiency, managing demand planning and technology prioritization, partnering with marketing on commerce content and demand generation, and helping develop marketplaces proposals when needed.
