The client is a leading hotel group with national and international presence, operating across multiple segments and recognized for its established track record. The Distribution Director role will lead the regional commercial distribution strategy for hotels across EMEA, with a focus on maximizing profitability and optimizing distribution channels.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the regional distribution strategy aligned with global objectives; identifying growth opportunities through new and alternative distribution models (direct, indirect, B2B, B2C); analyzing channel profitability and proposing performance optimization initiatives. The role will oversee relationships with major distribution partners such as online travel agencies, GDS, wholesalers, metasearch platforms, and other key actors; negotiate commercial agreements across EMEA to ensure correct implementation of distribution contracts and policies; and coordinate the contracting and management of eCommerce accounts and groups through specialized regional teams.
The position will drive portfolio activation and promotion with travel agencies, call centers, and end distributors, while leading and coordinating the regional distribution and revenue team in a collaborative, agile, results-oriented environment. It will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, E-commerce, and Technology, ensuring the proper integration and functioning of reservation and property technology systems (such as CRS, PMS, channel management tools, booking engines, and related solutions). The role also involves proposing improvements and innovations to optimize processes and operational efficiency, monitoring key KPIs (including ADR, RevPAR, channel share, conversion, and distribution costs), and delivering strategic reports and insights for global leadership; qualifications include a university education in hospitality, tourism, marketing, economics, or related fields, relevant experience in similar hotel industry roles with responsibility for EMEA markets, advanced knowledge of distribution systems, strong analytics capability, and fluent English (with additional languages valued), plus solid negotiation, relationship management, multicultural leadership, and data-driven decision-making.
