Southern Waters is a new joint water services entity being established by multiple district councils to provide safe and financially sustainable water services for communities in the region. The Directors will play a key role in leading the governance of this transformation, bringing together people, systems, technology, and services to create a future-ready organization. The successful candidates will work closely with the Chair and Programme Director to shape the vision, strategic direction, and establishment of the new commercial entity, ensuring robust governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and decision-making processes.The Southern Waters Stakeholders Representative Group (SRG) is seeking two experienced Directors who can work at a fast pace to help drive the development of the new entity. The Directors will be responsible for ensuring effective governance, strong stakeholder engagement, and high-quality decision-making throughout the transformation process. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multi-year project that will have a significant impact on the delivery of water services in the region, and the successful candidates will play a crucial role in shaping the future of water management in Central Otago, Clutha, Gore, and Waitaki Districts.
