Description

The client seeks a Director to serve as the chief executive officer, overseeing all aspects of operations and representing the client and the University of Alaska Anchorage to internal and external stakeholders. Reporting directly to the UAA Chancellor, the Director will work closely with the Provost, Vice Chancellors, and Deans to provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight in support of the client’s mission and goals.

The Director will advance and support the client’s and UAA’s strategic plans and institutional priorities, foster a culture of innovation and academic excellence, and provide primary budget authority for the client’s annual budget. As an advocate within the broader UAA structure, the Director will ensure the client’s programs and initiatives remain responsive to local community needs and university-wide objectives, while supporting accessible education and workforce development through partnerships with industry, government, tribal, school district, and community organizations.

The Director is expected to provide leadership that supports high-quality educational experiences and the development of faculty and staff. A master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and three to five years of administrative leadership experience are required, including program planning, budget management, and personnel development and management; a doctorate (or equivalent terminal degree) and additional higher education administrative leadership experience are preferred.
