The client is seeking a Director to cultivate relationships and increase financial commitments from existing supporters in the $1,800–$25,000 donor range, while also inspiring new community members to become significant financial supporters. The role will also support the growth of a grassroots advocacy and voting movement focused on improving access to quality Jewish education. The Director will be part of a community engagement team and will be supported by the state and national office.
A successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, fundraising, client relations, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant experience and demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding goals. The role requires the ability to pivot quickly in rapidly changing situations, work independently while prioritizing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment, and maintain strong communication skills. The Director should be motivated, able to initiate and sustain contacts and projects, and bring an analytical mindset to problem-solving and solution articulation.
Key responsibilities include creating and executing a plan to increase community engagement and grow revenue through donor solicitations, cultivation, and stewardship; building and sustaining strong donor relationships; identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new donors; and meeting quarterly and annual fundraising goals. The Director will also identify, recruit, and develop lay leadership for leadership roles, provide regular updates that encourage greater involvement in policy and advocacy efforts, maintain accurate donor and communication records in a CRM, and engage community members through action alerts, voting, events, and other advocacy activities while representing the client at community events and forums.
