the client is seeking a Director, Total Rewards to support the development and evolution of the Total Rewards strategy and to plan and manage Total Rewards programs for the group of companies. This role will help ensure Total Rewards plans align with business needs and all applicable legal requirements. The client’s Total Rewards practices include compensation modeling, benefits administration, and wellbeing programming.
The Director, Total Rewards will collaborate with the Vice President of Human Resources to identify, create, design, and evolve company-wide Total Rewards programs, and will lead governance processes for Total Rewards. Responsibilities will include managing retirement and pension committee activities, supporting human capital management committees, and partnering with strategic partners to identify best practices and emerging market trends. The role will also work with business HR leads to improve understanding of Total Rewards programs and plans.
Key responsibilities include managing the compensation model, administration, and benchmarking process; overseeing unified benefits plan offerings and making recommendations to remain competitive in attracting and retaining people; evaluating and improving Total Rewards programs, policies, procedures, and systems; and overseeing compensation processes within HR information systems with appropriate use of technology. The Director will review and present Total Rewards data to business and HR leadership with decision-focused recommendations, and will monitor and analyze government legislation to ensure ongoing compliance. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as human resources management, business administration, or finance, with a master’s degree and recognized compensation or human resources credentials considered assets.
