Description

Own high-impact technical accounting decisions in a global transformation environment, shaping high-visibility accounting policy and ensuring consistent application of U.S. GAAP across a complex, multi-entity organization. This fully remote role will support public-company readiness as the organization enhances its financial reporting quality, governance, and accounting infrastructure during a period of strategic evolution.

Lead technical accounting policy research, interpretation, and development for complex and non-routine matters, acting as the primary subject matter expert on high-judgment issues and complex transactions. Responsibilities include advising on acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, spin-offs, and evolving business models, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams such as SEC Reporting, Controllership, FP&A, Legal, Tax, Corporate Development, and external auditors to ensure accounting conclusions are technically sound, well-aligned with business objectives, and documented for governance purposes.

Build and maintain scalable accounting policies, governance frameworks, and robust documentation standards, including preparing and reviewing technical accounting memoranda for auditors and internal stakeholders. The role supports audit and regulatory requirements and ensures positions are SOX-compliant and audit-ready, with guidance across key U.S. GAAP areas including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations, goodwill and intangible assets, leases, and related complex transactions. The ideal candidate will have a CPA and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong preference for a foundation from a major public accounting firm and relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry, supported by progressive accounting experience including time in a public company or large, complex multinational environment.
