The client is seeking a Director, Senior Counsel to join their growing legal team in a newly created role focused on capital markets transactions. Reporting to the Head of US Legal, this individual will provide legal counsel on funding transactions within the Global Markets business, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Responsibilities include leading the legal management of transactions, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, advising on legal risks, and staying up to date on legal and regulatory developments.
The ideal candidate will have a JD from a US ABA accredited law school, admission to the NY State Bar, and at least 10 years of legal experience in US capital markets transactions. Experience with balance sheet management securitizations, public finance capital raises, commodities funding transactions, ABCP, and money market transactions is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and advise senior stakeholders within an investment bank.
