The client is seeking a Director of Portfolio Operations for the APAC region to join their value creation team within the private equity sector. The Director will be responsible for leading value creation efforts across a portfolio of 70+ companies, working closely with deal teams and portfolio company leadership to develop and execute impactful strategies throughout the investment lifecycle. Key responsibilities include acting as a trusted advisor to direct investing teams, leading the development and execution of value creation plans, and overseeing third-party advisors to ensure alignment with goals.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in private equity operations, management consulting, or operating roles with P&L responsibilities. Regional expertise in APAC markets, particularly ANZ or North Asia, is essential for this role. The candidate should possess strong strategic problem-solving abilities, high emotional intelligence, proven leadership skills, and excellent communication skills. A willingness to travel across the region is required for this position.
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Operations APAC, the Director will collaborate closely with investment teams, portfolio company boards, executives, and the funds leadership. The role may also involve taking on board roles or strategic oversight responsibilities as needed. The Director will lead strategic projects, foster collaboration among stakeholders, promote innovation in value creation, and represent the portfolio operations team at various internal events and talent development programs.
